Educational Meetings These are not your typical feel-good sessions. Intense participation is the norm. We confront the politics, policies, and processes that affect our members, the services they provide, and the children and families they serve. NACBH's 4-day annual meeting takes place in Washington, DC each spring, focusing on public policy issues and including a full day of scheduled appointments on Capitol Hill. Known for clear interpretation of critical national issues, timely coverage of emerging trends or threats, and updates on subjects of ongoing importance, NACBH brings the key players directly to the meeting participants for honest, and sometime controversial, discussion. A 2-day technical meeting is held each fall to provide clinical and administrative leaders with cutting-edge solutions to current and pending challenges in the field. Recent meetings have focused on reducing the use of restraint and seclusion, creating a trauma-informed treatment environment, and preparing for more frequent and aggressive Medicaid audits established by the Deficit Reduction Act. |

" I appreciate the high level of information presented in an informal and collegial atmosphere. Also appreciate the encouragement of 'hard' discsussion. I felt very welcome as a new attendee."
"NACBH does an amazing job landing the key players in the field. Their meetings are truly the most relevant, informative, on-point conference I attend - both wide and deep."
